Oh how could I this gift refuse
Which Jesus sends direct to me?
It is my telescope to use
Which heaven sends that I may see

By it God would my spirit lift
It is Gods plan and purpose sure
And what a pleasure is this gift
Which makes my faith a faith secure

And though I live in direst need
Yet doth this gift my spirit cheer
For by it God my life would lead
And make my journey heavenward clear.
